Austin Club Mural.

This mural is located at the entrance of Austin Club, an exclusive underground cocktail bar in the Christchurch City Center. The low-ceiling, 50-person capacity venue is designed to replicate post-war parties held in the late 1940s and early 1950s, with a jazz/swing/blues house band, stylish old-school interior and old fashioned hospitality.

To fit with the atmosphere, the mural design integrates cocktail ingredients like mint, oranges, pineapple and other fruits and grains used to produce alcoholic beverages. Art Nouveau inspired lines cross the wall connecting each element in the composition.

I ended up mixing my own colors, which was fun, but by far the best part was seeing how big of a transformation a few litters of paint can do.
