Kea is the only alpine parrot in the world and endemic to New Zealand. Also as one of the most intelligent birds, they are curious and not afraid to approach people (sometimes even bully them/me).
For me as an artist birds are a symbol of freedom and hope. But I believe their true beauty lies in the colors of their feathers, a reminder that nature is the greatest artist.
This painting is part of my solo show in Sofia, titled Beyond.
