Hooker Valley Track, Mt. Cook National Park, 42cm x 29.7cm

I really enjoyed working with these juicy blues and exploring the feeling of winter in this painting. The snow creates such beautiful contrast and through its shape reveals the underlying form of the rock. I love spending time surrounded by huge mountains and often contemplate their enormity, this composition I think captures that perfectly. ❄️
