Roadtrip in New Zealand.
A series documenting the ever-changing New Zealand landscape during my 3500km trip through active volcanoes, sunlit gorges, and lush gardens.
In this series I try to modernize the traditional landscape by bringing flat pop art colours and abstraction, while still trying to capture the essence and characteristics of the location.
This is the beginning of my landscape explorations.
My first art series.
My first artwork with a yellow under-painting (which I now always use) and a pivotal moment in my artistic journey.
When I'm consumed by the joy I perceive the world differently. The colors are brighter, the smells are stronger, the birds are louder, everything seems to be, exactly where it is supposed to be.
I believe that colors are carriers of emotion and that idea happens to be a driving force behind my color choices and combinations.
