This bridge, located in Arthurs Pass, New Zealand was chosen as a symbol of the symbiosis between us, humans, and nature. When designing it, the engineers took into consideration the shape and flow of the surrounding hills in an attempt to mimic the organic forms of nature. They were looking for aesthetics but also to not interrupt the surrounding flora and fauna.
The result, except beautiful, is an example of how I believe we should approach the process of building cities and infrastructure - with consideration.
